Release: 26.8
Quick Source requestors can now extend the expiration date of a request after it has been sent to suppliers.
The new expiration date must be set to a date and time later than the current expiration date. Once updated, the revised date is reflected across the request in Quick Source and on the supplier side Quote page. Suppliers who are active participants in the request are automatically notified of the change by email. Notifications are not sent to suppliers who have withdrawn from the request without submitting a quote, or who have withdrawn a previously submitted quote.
Why it matters
Extending the expiration date provides flexibility when suppliers need additional time to respond. It allows requestors to keep a request active without interrupting the sourcing process. For example, if a supplier is on vacation or for any other reason unable to respond before the original deadline, the requestor can extend the expiration date to give them more time to submit a quote.
Where to find it
- Go to Shop> Quick Source tab.
- Open the request whos expiration date needs to be extended.
- Select More actions (three-dot menu) and choose Extend Expiration Date.
- The feature is available for all request types.
