To strengthen the security of invoice processing, all hyperlinks embedded in PDF-based invoice images are now disabled by default. While the links will still appear visually in the PDF, they will no longer be clickable - preventing any unintended actions from being triggered. This change does not affect the underlying invoice data.
Why this change was made:
Clickable hyperlinks in PDF-based invoice images may pose potential security risks. Disabling them helps ensure safer processing of invoice documents. Basware strongly recommends this update as a proactive security measure. However, we recognize that some customers may have workflows that rely on the ability to access active hyperlinks within PDF images.
Opt-out option:
If your organization requires clickable hyperlinks in PDF invoices, you may choose to opt out of this change. Please note that opting out means your organization takes full responsibility for any risks associated with hyperlink functionality.
