Compliance Update: Basware achieves PDP status registration in France
We are excited to announce that Basware has officially received Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP) status from the French government, reinforcing our position as a trusted partner for global e-invoicing compliance. This achievement not only marks a significant milestone in France but also underscores our 40-year commitment to delivering comprehensive digital tax compliance solutions across multiple jurisdictions.
As global tax authorities continue modernizing their systems, e-invoicing mandates are becoming the new norm for businesses around the world. These regulations are designed to combat tax fraud, increase transparency, and improve tax collection efficiency.
With our PDP status now confirmed, Basware is prepared to fully support businesses with all mandate requirements in France with a robust suite of compliant e-invoicing solutions and services for 2026 and beyond.
France: A Key Market with One of Europe’s Most Intricate Mandates
France's e-invoicing mandate is recognized as one of the most complex and comprehensive in Europe. Scheduled for implementation between 2026 and 2027, the French system mandates that all B2B invoices must be processed through certified platforms, known as Plateformes de Dématérialisation Partenaires (PDPs). Along with e-invoicing, businesses are required to comply with strict e-reporting obligations to ensure that all VAT-related data is transmitted to the French tax authorities in real-time.
Successfully navigating this mandate demands deep expertise in regulatory compliance, as well as a thorough understanding of the technical and security standards established by France's tax authority, the Direction Générale des Finances Publiques (DGFiP). Achieving PDP status highlights Basware's expertise and commitment to delivering advanced compliance solutions on a global scale.
A Thoughtful, Strategic Approach to Solution Development
At Basware, we understand the complexities of the global e-invoicing landscape and have taken a thoughtful, strategic approach in building our solutions. Instead of rushing to meet new regulations, we’ve invested the necessary time to rigorously design, develop, and test our services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and compliance.
This deliberate approach has enabled us to create a robust solution that not only meets France's intricate requirements but is also flexible enough to adapt to the evolving needs of other markets. By prioritizing quality and long-term effectiveness, we empower our clients with the confidence that their e-invoicing processes will remain fully compliant, no matter where they operate.
